Some of the places she worked that were blessed with her impeccable work ethic included, Gibsons, Ray's Thrift-T-Wise, WestStar bank, Dewey City Hall, and Town of Ochelata. Although she held many work titles during her lifetime, her favorites were Mom, Gramma, Granny, little Aunt Doris and friend. She was loved by all.
She was very involved in many of her children's activities mainly sporting events, cub scouts, and serving as home-room mother. Over the years she was active in the Town of Ochelata serving as Council Person, Mayor, Clerk, and Treasurer.
Doris was a selfless person who was always putting others before herself. She was an excellent cook and loved spending time with her family. She will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her brother, Jerry Pinkerton; sister, Sharon Tucker; Children, Andy Young and wife Shelley; Kim Robinson and friend Mike Woodward; Belinda Buoy and fiance Michael Street; Grandchildren, Drew & Angela Kinney and children Nate, Sam, and Lucas; Nycole & Tyler Waggoner and son Case; Josh & Brooke Young and daughter Saige; Katie Robinson & Jonathan Robertson and children Olivia, Ethan, and Grayson; Autumn Street and son Dominic; A.J. Young; Blake Buoy; Gabby Street; Anna Jean Young; Miranda Street and Mikey Street.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Sam and Mildred Pinkerton; husband, Forrest Young; sister, Lois Padgett and husband Earl; sister-in-law Jennie Pinkerton; husband, Frank McCormick
