Anne Virginia Poe Marshall, 95, of Lynchburg died Thursday, November 11, 2021 at Centra Lynchburg General Hospital. She was the wife of the late William J. Marshall, Jr.

She was born July 21, 1926 in Altavista, a daughter of the late Lloyd Wesley Poe and Eva Jenks Poe. She was a graduate of Altavista High School and Phillips Business College. Anne was also a member of Centenary United Methodist Church, Lynchburg and a past legal secretary.

She is survived by her beloved children, William "Billy" Marshall of Lynchburg and Anne Elizabeth Marshall of Altavista.

She was preceded in death by an infant son, William J. Marshall, III; and four brothers, Leroy, Clarence, Carson and John "Bill" Poe.

A private graveside service will be conducted at Green Hill Cemetery, Altavista.

The family suggests that those wishing to make memorials consider the Centra Foundation, Helping Hands/Caregiver Support, 1920 Atherholt Road, Lynchburg, VA 24501 or the Alan B. Pearson Regional Cancer Center, Cancer Patient Support Fund, 1701 Thomson Drive, Lynchburg, VA 24501.
