Mary Ethel Arnold Potter, age 70, passed away on Friday, November 12, 2021 at the Sycamore Shoals Hospital, Elizabethton, TN. Mary was born in the Crackers Neck Community of Johnson County, TN on February 12, 1951. She was the daughter of the late Reverend George F. Arnold and Minnie Frances Mink Arnold. In addition to her parents, Mary was also preceded in death by two sisters, Helen Morefield and Nancy Brewer; son-in-law Johnny Dugger.

Mary was of the Baptist Faith. She was a homemaker and enjoyed music and playing the piano.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children: daughters, Melinda Dugger of Butler, TN and Donna Burns (David) of Mountain City, TN; sons: Donald Potter, Jr. (Kim) of Mountain City, TN, Dwayne Potter (Amanda) of Mountain City, TN, Tony Potter (Cheri) of Mountain City, TN and Bryan Potter (Amanda) of Mountain City, TN; sisters, Julia Mae Roark of PA, Brenda Reece (Barry) of Mountain City, TN, Melissa Rupard (Jeff) of Laurel Bloomery, TN; brothers, Gene Arnold (Vickie) of Oxford, PA, Jimmy Arnold (Connie) of Mountain City, TN and Leonard Arnold (Lisa) of Mountain City, TN; 13 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; former husband and father of her children, Donald Ray Potter, Sr. of Smyrna, DE; several nieces and nephews also survive.
