Ruth Anna Anderson, 98, of Ranson passed away on Sunday, November 14, 2021 at the Shenandoah Center, Charles Town.

Ruth was born Nov. 13, 1923 in Elkton, Virginia. She was the daughter of the late Jack Campbell and Patty L. Stoneberger Campbell.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother and homemaker. Avid bingo player, loved the horses, going to the track with her son Dee.

She was a member of the Heritage Freewill Baptist Church, Inwood

She is survived by her daughters, Ann E. Kelican and husband Gary, Stevanna "Stevie" Sigler and companion, Charlie, Vanessa "Dale" Higgs and husband Ronnie, all of Ranson ; seventeen grandchildren, thirty-six great-grandchildren and twenty great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Howard H. "Duke" Anderson who passed away Feb. 1, 2009; daughter, Janet Painter, sons, Roger Everett Anderson and Howard "Dee" Anderson; great grandson, Jeremy Lee Hardy, sister, Mildred Lucas and brother, Jack Campbell.

She was the last of her immediate family.

Funeral Services will be held at Melvin T. Strider Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at 2:00 p.m.

Burial will immediately follow at Edge Hill Cemetery, Charles Town

Friends will be received at the funeral home on Tuesday, November 16, 2021 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.
