GARRETT - AGE: 80, of 4225 6 W. 10 street, who came here 16 years ago from New Orleans, died yesterday in a local hospital. He was a retired broker and a member of the Trinity Methodist Church. He is survived by his widow, Hattie; four daughters, Mrs. Harriet Hodnett of West Point, Ga.; Mrs. A. B. McCrary and Mrs. Edward Oxford of Atlanta and Mrs. A. T. VanDeveer; four sons, C. R. Garrett & C. W. Garrett of Houston, I. E. Garrett, Jr., of Atlanta, and W. E. Garrett; two sisters, Mrs. Belle Burkitt of Amory, Mississippi, and Mrs. Louise High of Carthage, Tennessee, and 23 grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday at 2:30 P.M. in Flager Funeral Home Chapel by Dr. Everett Smith. Burial will be in Graceland Memorial Park. Isaac & Harriett had (8) Children: 1. Janet Lounet Garrett Van DeVeer DOB 11/26/1882 Houston, Chickasaw County, Mississippi - DOD 11/26/1960 Miami-Dade County, Fla. Married Arlis Talmadge Van DeVeer 4/21/1903 had 3 sons, 3 daughters. 2.
