Funeral services for Leta Joyce Weaver Collier, 91, will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, November 15, 2021 at the Childress Church of Christ with Dr. Mike Henderson officiating. Burial will follow in Childress Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home.

She passed away November 12, 2021 in Amarillo.

Leta Joyce Drake was born September 13, 1930 in Childress County to Charles Patrick Drake and Dora Drake.

She grew up in rural Childress County and attended High Point School. She later graduated from Childress High School. She was a member of the Childress Church of Christ and enjoyed visiting and playing 42. She loved her family as well as her church family and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Billy Joe Weaver; husband, Aubrey Collier; a sister, Mary Jane Drake; a brother, Milton Drake; and a son, James Weaver.

Survivors include a son, Bill Weaver and wife, Gail, of San Angelo, a daughter-in-law, Terresia Weaver of Odessa, a son, Ken Weaver and wife, Raylene, of Midland, a son, Chuck Weaver and wife, Lisa, of Wichita Falls and a son, Forrest Weaver and wife, Sadie, of Abilene; a sister, Loretta Alaexander of Abilene; 11 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
