Her Story...
June Lorette Crutchfield Jones was born on May 29, 1937 to the union of Charles Crutchfield and Beatrice Myers Crutchfield, of Versailles Borough, PA. She was baptized at an early age at Zion Baptist Church in McKeesport, PA. After graduating from McKeesport Senior High, she relocated to Beaumont, Texas, and was employed by Gulf States Utilities for thirty-five years. Upon arrival to Beaumont, in 1961, June united with Antioch Missionary Baptist Church and began utilizing her God-given gifts. She began serving as the organist for the adult choir. Because of her love for hymns, June also shared her gifts with Morning Star Baptist Church as Director of Music for the Men's Chorus.
In 1991, June began her dedicated service as church secretary. Shortly afterwords, she was promoted to Administrative Assistant to Pastor John R. Adolph, for the next twenty-five years; thus, becoming a viable servant in Antioch's church history, until her home going.
On November 1, 2021, June answered her call to glory. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Crutchfield and Beatrice Meyers Crutchfield, her step-mother, Nancy Crutchfield Hill; brothers, Charles George Crutchfield, Russell Allen Crutchfield; son, Cass Jones.
She leaves to survive her legacy, her daughters, Dollie Banks of Crosby, Texas and Tamela Portley (Ronald) of Channelview, Texas; son, Charles Jones of Clairton, PA; grandchildren, Antoine Banks (Shawdae), of Pearland, Texas, Tiffany Huff of Houston, Texas, Candace Wilkes of Houston, Texas, Christle Manning of Beaumont, Texas; and Amber Jones of Las Vegas, NV; fifteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild, Linden Carter Dargin; brothers, James Crutchfield (Becky Hoover), Linden Carter Dargin; of Akron OH, Robert Cructhfield (Susan Pitchford) of Seattle, WA, Wayne of Akron OH, and Wayne Crutchfield, of Honolulu, Hawaii; sister-in-law, Berneice Crutchfield of Reading, PA; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, that were dear to her.
