Joyce Ann McGuire, age 86, of Athens, passed away Friday, November 5, 2021 at her residence.
Mrs. McGuire was born July 30, 1935 in Limestone County to Cullen Tennison and Melvine Carter Tennison.
Her parents precedes her in death, as well as her first husband, Ed Griffin, her second husband, Bootie McGuire, two brothers, Bub Tennison, James Tennison, and one grandson, Hunter Towe.
Survivors include one daughter, Sherry Towe; two sons, Michael and Ricky Griffin all of Athens; two grandchildren, Brandi Slay (Jason) of Huntsville; Ben Griffin (Lindsay) of Killen; three great-grandchildren, Brayson Slay, Jack Griffin, and Nora Griffin.
There will be a graveside service Monday, November 8, 2021 at 2 p.m. with Bro. Doug Colwell officiating. Visitation will be Monday from 12-1:45 p.m. at McConnell Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Ricky Griffin, Michael Griffin, Ben Griffin, Jason Slay, Steve Phillips, and Harlow Fikes.
