Billy Ray Maxwell, 68 of Cookeville and formerly of Baxter died suddenly Saturday November 13, 2013 at his home. He was born February 4, 1953 in Detroit, Michigan to the late John Monroe and Gladys Willene Allen Maxwell. He attended Upperman High School in Baxter.
Bill retired from Tennessee Tech University in the Maintenance Department with 14 years of service. He was a true Vol fan.
Survivors include son: Jonathan Trent (Nicole) Maxwell of Cookeville; daughter: Holly Chaffin and husband Trent Snider of Baxter; brother: Jack Maxwell of Silver Point; Special friend: Juli Tucker, grandchildren: Bailey and Dillon Meadows, Abigail Calfee, aunt: Margie Shanks of Baxter.
His wishes of cremation were honored with memorial services held on Saturday, December 4, 2021 at the Baxter chapel of Hooper, Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home. Inurnment followed in the Joe Bob Allison Cemetery.
