Jean was born December 19, 1931, on the family farm near Rathwell, Manitoba. He was a twin brother to Pierre and one of 10 children born to Remy Bosc and Ange Magne.
He went to school at École Jeanne d'Arc and finished his high school in Notre Dame. He went on to get his teaching degree, was a principal at Ste. Rose du Lac and taught in Laurier.
After his retirement in 1982, he spent many years volunteering in the community and was an active member of the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed the family farm and spent many hours cutting and splitting firewood. Family was important to him and he will be missed by his many family and friends.
He leaves to mourn his passing four sisters, two brothers, their respective spouses, and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his father Rémy in 1964 and by his mother Ange (née Magne) in 1982; two brothers: Antonio in 1993 and Pierre in 2002; one sister Claudette in 1937 and by two brothers-in-law: Josaphat Le Néal in 2002 and Luc Trudel in 2009.
Funeral Services will be held in the Notre Dame de Lourdes Roman Catholic Church on Tuesday, June 7, 2011. Prayers at 1:30 followed by Funeral Mass at 2 p.m. with Father Léon Mubikayi officiating. Interment in the Parish Cemetery.
As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Notre Dame Health Foundation, Box 190, Notre Dame de Lourdes, MB R0G 1M0.
