Marvin Thomas "Boogie" Bright, 81, of Norfolk, VA, passed away peacefully at Sentara Norfolk's Heart Hospital on November 8, 2021.
Born September 24, 1940, in Virginia, Marvin was the son of the late Gordon, Sr., and Thelma Bright. He served honorably in the United States National Guard before enjoying a successful career in telecommunications with Verizon. He was a trusted friend to many.
In addition to his parents, Marvin was preceded in death by wife, Linda B. Bright; three brothers, Gordon, Jr., Jack; and Arnold Bright and two sisters, Addie Clark and Evelyn Barkley. Left to cherish his memory are his loving daughter and only child, Sonya A. Bright and sister, Marlene Bennett.
