Catherine Moyer is the daughter of Daniel Moyer and Elizabeth Kerchner of Perry Co, Pa. Catherine married 5 Sep 1863 Perry Co, pa to John L Gish. Children are Jacob,
Daniel, Sarah, Anna, Barbara, Joseph,Martha, Mary Ann, Abram, John, Jesse, Kate, Alvin, Bessy.
She moved to Kansas in 1878.

"Catherine Moyer-Gish
Catherine Moyer gish was born near Mt Patrick, Pa. She was maried October 8 1863 to John L Gish of Near Liverpool, Pa. The family came to Kansas in the spring of 1878, locating in Dickinson county. After six months they moved to Ellsworth county where they resided for two and one half years. Then they moved back to Dickinson county, where mother Gish spent her remaining years.
Her husband preceded her in death nearly nine years. She died in Abilene a the home of her oldest son Jacob I. Gish, February 23, 1935, aged 86 years, 11 months and 14 days. She united with the Brethren in Christ church soon after marriage and remained loyal to her church until death. The infirmities of old age prohibited her regular attendance at service in recent years, but she maintained her interest in Christian things being a diligent reader of the bible in her home. She was the mother of 14 children, seven boys and seven girls, nine of whom survive, namely; Jacob I Gish of Abilene; Mrs Anna Haldeman, Upland, Calif; Mrs Ella Ginder , Tulare, Calif; J Harvey Gish, Abilene; Mrs Mary Maust, Navarre, Kans; Abraham G Gish, Enterprise; John M Gish, Enterprise; Mrs Katie Lane, Abilene; Alvin M Gish, Upland, Calif. All were present at the funeral but Mrs. Ginder. Those preceding her in death were Daniel U.,Sallie E., Martha J., Jesse M., and Bessie, the last two dying in infancy.
In the family are 35 grandchildren, 43 great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.
Funeral was held from the Abilene church of the Brethren in Christ, on Tuesday afternoon, Bishop R I Witter and Rev Joel Carlson officiating. Burial in the Belle Springs cemetery, west of Navarre."`
