Jim Elmer 1935 ~ 2005 PANGUITCH, UTAH - James Hyrum "Jim" Elmer, 69, passed away February 10, 2005 in Panguitch. He was born April 9, 1935 in Cannonville, Utah to Ira Willis and Julia Elizabeth Dutton Elmer. He married Velma Jane LeFevre on September 29, 1956 in Fredonia, Arizona. He was a lumberjack and worked in the timber industry for many years. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Loved having his family near him. Surviving are his wife, Velma, of Panguitch; children, Dellis Jane (Rocky) Jack of Parry, Oklahoma, Artimitia "Arta" (Ken) Hepworth of Panguitch, Hyrum J. (Mary) Elmer of Aurora, Julia Ann (Randy) Muirhead of Grand Junction, Colorado, Chester Ray (Kita) Elmer of Tropic; 19 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Beth Wogan of Mt. Pleasant, LeVina Elmer of Mesa, Arizona, Barbara Elmer of Cedar City, LaMar Elmer of Fremont, Virginia Moosman of Fremont, Theora (Jerry) Mangum of Monroe, John Chester (Arlene) Elmer of Ephraim; mother-in-law, Dellis LeFevre of Panguitch. Preceded in death by his parents; father-in-law, Ozro LeFevre; brothers, Lyle W. Elmer, Howard Elmer; sister, Dorothy Elmer; brother and sister-in-law, Larry Gleave, Doris Leslie; granddaughter, Katherine Ann Garrard. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 16, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. in the Panguitch 1st LDS Ward Chapel, 550 South 100 West, where friends may call on Wednesday morning from 11:30 to 12:30.
