Thomas Mark "Tommy" Cooper, 56, of Grafton, WV, passed away on Thursday, November 11, 2021 after an extended illness. He was born in Clarksburg on June 23, 1965, to the late George C. Cooper Sr. and his mother and loyal caretaker Norma Diane (Poe) Cooper of Grafton.

In addition to his father Thomas was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jake and Mary Poe and Oliver James and Hettie Cooper; his brother George C. Cooper Jr.; and his sister Marcia Diane (Cooper) Holder.

Tommy, as he was affectionately known to family and friends, is survived by: three sisters: Rebecca Ann Cooper, Dorine Ellen Claypoole both of Grafton, and Beth Lynn Shinn of WY; and close nieces and nephews: Vicki Leah Cooper of Weston, Echo Cooper of Idamay, Zach Cooper of Clarksburg, Leslie Claypoole of Morgantown, and Garry Claypoole of Grafton; as well as several others living out of state.

Tommy graduated from Lewis County High School and worked several years for the BUWAC. Thomas was very active in special Olympics throughout his life and took great joy in participating at each event. He sang in the Joyful Noise Choir sponsored by WVWC, and enjoyed performing at the concerts for his family and friends.

Cremation services will be honored and private inurnment will be held for his family and loved ones. The Bradley J. Mayle Funeral Home is honored to serve the Cooper Family during this time.
