Linda "Luke" Ramsey, 73, of Middletown passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family and friends on Thursday November 11, 2021. She was born on August 28, 1948 in Beartown, WV to the late Lawerance "Doc" and Lillian (Spears) Davidson.
Linda always told everyone that she was born on the side of the mountain in a chicken coop that her dad just built and was the only chick born there. She was the best mother and father to her girls. Even though she was color blind she saw the beauty in everything even when dressing her girls when they were young, living up to the phrase "your mom dress's you funny". Linda was known as Luke or momma Luke to everyone that knew her.
She is survived by her daughters, Ginger (Brian) Shields and Donna Dyer; grandchildren, Seth (Tiffany) Morrow, Vicky Dant, Richie Dyer, Seth Dyer, Isabella Helsley and Daylyn Helsley; great grandchildren, Levi, Elly, Pyper, Delilah, Oakley, Justin, Braden, Conner, Diamond, Seth, Bryce and Violet; sister, Sandra Beeler along with several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Ron Ramsey; daughter, Lilly Helsley; sisters, Pat Brower and Phyllis Stark; brothers, Jersey Barnett, Roger "Buddy" Barnett and Bill Davidson; brother-in-law, Dick Stark, son-in-law's, William Morrow and Ricky Dyer.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date
