Born August 14, 1955, Steven is the son of the late John William and Sophia Cain Dawson.
He is survived by his wife, Lynn Dawson; daughter, Carrie Risen and husband Derek; daughter, Megan Dawson; son, Egan Dawson; grandson, Jacob Risen and wife Ally; granddaughter, Kirsten Risen; great grandchildren, Nevaeh and Jake Risen; brothers, Johnny Dawson, Roger Dawson, and Gene Dawson and wife Sally; sister, Sheila McNeill; his Black Lab, Buddy; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends.
Born and raised in Cumberland County, Steven was a graduate of Fayetteville Academy. After graduating, he would eventually go on to become owner and operator of All-States Moving and Storage and also a volunteer firefighter until he retired. Steven loved being outdoors, especially when he was hunting and fishing or training and working with hounds. He was very sports oriented and enjoyed everything from coaching baseball to watching NASCAR.
Steven was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend who will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved him.
