Shirley was a longtime resident of Niagara Falls and graduated from Niagara Falls High School in 1951. Throughout her career, she was employed by Wendt's Dairy, Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center, John Hancock Insurance Company, the former Marine Midland Bank and the Ramada Inn. Shirley was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Niagara Falls.
Shirley is survived by nieces, Bonnie Beaudry and Deborah Hintz and a nephew, David Ellis. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by brothers, Edwin (late Joy) Ellis, Albert (living, Janet) Ellis and Thomas (living, Bonnie) Ellis.
