Walter Baker Jordan Jr. was a native of Isle of Wight County, born and raised at Springfield farm in Carrollton. He was the seventh child of Walter Baker Jordan Sr. and Pattie Alston. During WWI, Walter served in the US Army (Pvt. Co A 4 Bn Cas Cp) from 2/8/1918-12/23/1918. After the war, he married Ruth Mountcastle.
He was a member of Post 67 of the American Legion in Portsmouth, VA and of American Legion Post 179 in Yeadon, PA.
