Steven Leonard Roberson, 67, of Silver Spring, MD, passed away on November 10, 2021.

Born on October 27, 1954, in Washington, DC, he was the son of the late Leonard Howard and Trannie Mae (Jarrett) Roberson.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Alan Richard Roberson. Steve is survived by his mother, Trannie Mae Roberson, his brother Milton Roberson, two sisters, Susan Smith and Judy Roberson, nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. He was known as "Uncle Steve" to the youngest of the grands, Brianna, Zuly, and Matthew.

His longtime friends called him "Big Steve" and enjoyed Saturday night card games, trips to Nags Head, and Poker night with his crew.

Steve graduated from John F. Kennedy High School in 1973. He worked at Evans Distributors in Rockville until they closed; in the early 1980's he worked for Frankie Condon's Italian Restaurant in Rockville and learned to make sauce and a pretty good meatball. From 1983 to 2003, he worked at International Business Printers (IBP) and donated his time to print charity jobs for a Mission agency. In 2003 he joined his sister, Judy, as co-owner of Business Insurance Solutions, Inc., until his death. Steve was a member of the Independent Insurance Agents of America (IIAA).

The family will be receiving friends at Hilton Funeral Home, 22111 Beallsville Road, Barnesville, MD, on Wednesday, November 17th from 6:00-8:00 PM and Thursday, November 18th from 10:00AM-11:00AM. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, November 18th at Hilton Funeral Home. Graveside service will follow at Monocacy Cemetery, 19801 W Hunter Rd, Beallsville, MD 20839.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made in his memory to The American Cancer Society or Wheaton Moose Lodge #1775 (Bel Pre Rd).
