Obituary - SALT LAKE CITY - Funeral services for Martha Smith Jenson, 80, who died Sunday at her Salt Lake City home, will be Wednesday at noon in the Mt. View 3rd LDS Ward, 1889 17th East.
She was the daughter of Joseph Fielding Smith, sixth president of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Mrs. Jenson has been a member of and occasional soloist for the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. She was active in drama, performing as a child at the old Salt Lake Theater. She was active in LDS Church work and held many positions.
Born May 12, 1897, in Salt Lake City, she was the youngest daughter of President and Edna Lambson Smith. She married Harold Howell Jenson in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on Sept. 1, 1914.
Mrs. Jenson is survived by her husband of Salt Lake City; three sons, Dr. Harold S. Jenson, Farmington; Dr. Mark B. Jenson, Provo; Robert S. Jenson, Vancouver, B.S.; one daughter, Mrs. Edna Montani, Salt Lake City; 13 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Dr. Silas Smith, Salt Lake City, Dr. Sam Smith, Bennion; four sisters, Mrs. Edith Smith Patrick, Mrs. Asineth Smith Conklin, Mrs. Emily Smith Taylor and Mrs. Marjorie Smith Brown, all of Salt Lake City.
