William served in the Army of the United States of America military during the Korean War time era where he lived in Germany and was honorably discharged from active duty.
Mr. Spencer was a humble person and a loving husband. He loved his wife Charlotte E. Spencer of 32 years. He had a heart of gratitude and Godly wisdom.
William was a member of Old Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Gainesville Texas.
Survivors include his wife Charlotte E. Spencer of Gainesville; three sisters Mary J Hunter of Gainesville, Loreta Felton of Manteca,CA, and Glaydene Roberts of Gainesville; his children: Wilhemina Beams of Germany, Troy L. Beams of Germany, Renée Spencer-Seban, Carl Spencer, Anthony Spencer, Debra DeHorney, Marcella Walker-Reed, Antonio Spencer, Bradley Kuykendall, Leecole Spencer, MarKala King. He is also survived by 28 grandkids, 4 great-grandkids and 1 great-great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother Jesse Mae Spencer and his father Lee Grant Spencer, daughter Kathy Spencer-Nobles, Gwynnth Spencer-Rogers and grandson Carl Spencer Jr.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, November 15, 2021 at Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Frank Lorne officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery. A visitation is scheduled for Sunday from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
