Steven "Stevie" Bruce Rogers, age 63, of Laurinburg passed away Sunday, November 7, 2021.
Stevie was born December 31, 1957 in Scotland County, son of Ruby Simmons Rogers and the late Rufus "Buck" Rogers.
He worked many years for Rea Magnet Wire Company, and also in the wrecker service business. In younger years, he enjoyed attending school at RCC, studying counseling. He was a member of Springfield Church of God, enjoyed cutting wood and woodworking. Stevie was a simple man who enjoyed his life with wonderful friends and spending time with family. He will truly be missed.
Along with his father, he is preceded in death by daughter, Jayme Leigh Rogers and sister, Teresa Saunders.
Stevie leaves behind his mother, Ruby Simmons Rogers of Laurinburg; brothers, Darrell Rogers of Laurinburg, Michael Simmons (Deborah) of Rowland; sister, Janet Mudd (Andy) Mudd of Laurinburg; four grandchildren, along with his nieces, nephews, and many friends.
A Graveside service will be at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 10, 2021 in Hillside Memorial Park. The family will receive friends immediately following the service on Wednesday at graveside.
