Edward Arnold Wright, 76, was born June 24, 1945, in Grant, Alabama. He passed November 10, 2021.
Ed resided most of his life in Grant and also lived in Guntersville for several years. He was an alumnus of KDS DAR High School, Livingston University, and Alabama A&M University.
Ed worked as a math teacher in Scottsboro and Guntersville High Schools in the late 1960s and early 1970s. He also owned and operated C&W Machine for many years and most recently Wright Machine and Fabrication - both in Guntersville, AL.
Mr. Wright served on the Marshall County Board of Education from 1994-2012. He was also a member of Grant First Baptist Church.
Ed enjoyed raising horses and cattle and farming other livestock on his farms most of his life. In his spare time, Ed enjoyed watching sports and was an avid Alabama Football fan.
Edward Wright was preceded in death by his wife Lana Cryar Wright, his parents Elmer and Ola (Ayers) Wright, sister Delphine Wright Veach, and brothers Nolton Wright and Walter Wright.
He is survived by son Chad Wright, stepson Pat Cryar, grandson Connor Wright, and many nieces and nephews.
