Mrs. Ruth Franklin Alsman, lifelong resident of Washington, passed away on the morning of Sunday, November 7, 2021, at Osceola Regional Medical Center, Orlando, Florida.

Ruth was born January 10, 1931, in Petersburg, Indiana to the late LeRoy and Ruth (Jones) Britton. She was 90.

Ruth attended Winslow High School and was a member of the graduating Class of 1949. She was member of Bethany Christian Church. Her love of children led her to become a Den Mother for both Brownies and Cub Scouts, as well as a supporter of Camp Illiana. Ruth retired from the City of Washington Utility Office.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband William Dale Franklin; Claude Alsman Jr., and a sister Betty Lockridge.
She enjoyed basketball and football and was an avid fan of Indiana University Hoosiers and the Indianapolis Colts. As a homemaker she was completely devoted to her family and her church.

Survivors include her loving children, Nona (Michael) Osha, William Britt (Tammy) Franklin; her grandchildren, Jeremy (Angie) Osha, Crystal Osha, Heather (Osha) Agnew, Beth (Matt) VonDielingen, Amy Franklin, and Amanda Franklin: 15 great-grandchildren and 1 great great-grandchild; one sister Carol (Gordon) Barnett.

The family will be accepting mourners Monday, November 15, 11:00a.m.-1:00p.m. at Fredrick and Son-Gill Funeral Home, with service following at 1:00p.m. to be officiated by Rev. Tom Watson, Burial will be in Bethany Cemetery.
