Sarah Ann Sparks Franklin, of El Dorado formerly of Gurdon, passed away on November 9, 2021.

Sarah, or Ana as she was known to her family, was a homemaker by profession. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, needle work, crafting, reading, and bird watching. She worked at making her home welcoming and comfortable. She was happiest when she was doing for others. Her greatest gift was love. If you were lucky enough to be loved by Sarah, you knew it. She loved her family and friends fiercely, and she demonstrated her love in countless ways. She fixed favorite foods, crocheted baby blankets, made Christmas ornaments, did craft projects with her grandchildren, and always had just the right card to congratulate accomplishments or cheer someone up. She loved with everything she had.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Franklin, her parents, Charles Garland and Nannie Sue Ross Sparks, and her sisters, Charles Sue Rudolph and Linda Lee Ferron.

She is survived by her children, Donna Franklin Bevill (Gary), Jimmy Franklin (Suzanne), Teresa Schulze Ziegler, grandchildren David Bevill, Laura Beth Matson, Michael Ziegler, Chandler Franklin, Madison Franklin, and great-grandchildren Kate, Jack, and Olivia Bevill, and Georgia and Carol Matson.
