She married James William Ward before graduating from Guernsey High School in 1951, and together, they had two children; Kerry William and Tamara Erica. Catherine and William moved to Imperial, California, where they raised their children and lived their life together until his passing in 1994.
Catherine battled Alzheimers and Dementia for over 10 years with grace and strength, while her daughter and granddaughter Savannah cared for her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James William; son, Kerry; brother, Jim Powell.
She is survived by her sister, Maxine Wor bes; brother, William (Wiggy) Powell; daughter and son-in-law, Tamara Erica (Ward) and Charles Sunghera; grandchildren, Justin (Alexis) Cook and Savannah Catherine Cook; numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
Graveside service will be held at Evergreen Cemetery in El Centro, CA on October 25, 2021 at 11 a.m.
