Millinocket – Diane Winters Miller went to heaven on November 8, 2021 after an extended illness. She was born August 5, 1934 in Strong, Maine to George Winters and Esther Orbeton. Diane graduated from Stearns High school in 1952. Diane married her husband, Howard Robert Miller, on March 22, 1952.
Diane was employed at Great Northern Paper Company in Millinocket for 10 years, retiring in 1983. She and Howard wintered in Arcadia, Florida for many years. Her favorite pastime was playing cards, bingo and volunteering at local hospitals.
Survivors include daughter, Debra (Miller) Coon and son-in-law, Ronald L Coon of Medway; son, Robert H Miller of Millinocket; grandchildren, Jennifer Kelly, Jesse McEwen, Matthew Coon, Ryan Coon, Robert Miller and Daniel Miller; and many great grandchildren.
In addition to parents, Diane was predeceased by her husband, Howard R Miller; daughter Shireen F. Miller; sisters, Helen Sandborn, Priscilla Amero and brother Bruce Winters.
Memorial Services will be held 1 PM Friday, November 19 at the Millinocket Cemetery.
