James "Pete" Huffman, 84, of Sod, WV, passed away at home on Thursday, November 11, 2021. He was preceded in death by his parents, James & Marie Griffith Huffman, son, Bill Huffman, and four siblings, Agatha, Rosa Lee, Terry and Jolly.
Pete was an active member of WV Fox Hunters Association (Fox Hunting) winning State Competitions in WV, OH and KY and on the National level.
He was a retired member of Pipefitters Local #625 and was a Duval High School graduate of the Class of 1957, where he participated in all sports.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Sue, daughter Tina Humphries, grandchildren, Elijah (Brandy) and Hayley Humphries, great-grandchildren, Makala and Josey, daughter-in-law, Lisa Martin and several nieces and nephews.
Service will be 2:00pm on Sunday November 14, 2021, at Curry Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastors Richard McCallister and John Mathews officiating. Burial will follow at Orchard Hills Memory Gardens. Family and friends will gather one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
