Martha Ann Hembrick Green gained her angel wings November 21, 2021 at the age of 92. She was known as the soul and heart of her family. Her love will forever be embedded in all who knew her. Her welcoming and warm personality created an inviting atmosphere for all those in the Winterpock and surrounding areas. She enjoyed all kinds of music, cooking, entertaining friends, and relaxing on the porch. She joined Brown Grove Baptist Church at an early age. Martha was employed with the Chesterfield County Public School System and was a devoted employee until she retired. She was born December 30, 1928 to the late Ottaway Hembrick and Lennie Brown Hembrick. She was preceded in death by her son, Lonnie L. Green; sister, Dorothy L. Robertson, grandson, Damion Lewis, Sr.; and Waverly L. Green, Sr. She leaves to treasure her memory seven children, Waverly J., Jerry L. (Gertrude), Ray O., Roy A. (Gail), devoted daughter, Gloria A., Ronnie L. (Monique), James L. (Crystal); one sister, Sadie H. Harris (Raymond); one nephew, Kevin C. Robertson; host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Her family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, November 13 and 14, at Bliley's – Chippenham, 6900 Hull St. Rd., where a funeral ceremony will be held, 1 p.m. Monday, November 15, followed by interment in Brown Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
