Raymond Elvin Moore Passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side on Tuesday, November 09, 2021.

He was born to Elvin and Nellie Moore on January 25, 1934 in Des Moines, Iowa.

He graduated from Tech High School in Des Moines in 1952.

He then enlisted with the United States Army in 1953 during the Korean Conflict.

After the Army he attended Drake University where he got his BA in Psychology and Natural Sciences in 1959. He received his PH.D in Neuroscience and Clinical Psychology from Adelphi University.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 44 years, Rose Ann. He is also survived by his daughters, Megan (Aaron) Price, Susan Frausto, son James (Vicki) Moore, grandson, Daniel Frausto, two great-grandsons; Zane and Coltan. His sister Rosalie (Bud) Blakesley and brother Richard (Barb) Moore also survive him.

A visitation will be Monday, November 15, 2021 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am with the funeral at 11:00 am at McLaren's Resthaven Chapel, 801 19th St., West Des Moines. Burial will be at the Iowa Veterans Cemetery following the funeral at 12:30 pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in his honor may go to Animal Rescue League of Iowa, Inc.
