Louise Brisendine Miller, 89 of Woodbury, GA died peacefully Monday, November 9, 2021 at her home. Mrs. Miller was born October 16, 1932 in Stockbridge, GA the daughter of John Robert Gilbert, Sr. and Mattie Eunice Lamb Gilbert.
She started piano lessons at age 5, played in church at age 11 and was elected church pianist at age 13. Mrs. Miller held a Music Teacher's certificate and taught music in Florida. She served as pianist and organist at Stockbridge Baptist Church, Bethany Baptist Church and retired as pianist and assistant organist for Woodbury Baptist Church. While being a member of Woodbury Baptist Church, she served as a Sunday School Teacher, Children's Department Secretary, Church Clerk, Children's Choir, sang in the Church Choir, a Coordinator for the Prayer Chain and e-mail chain.
Mrs. Miller worked for the Trust Company of Georgia, First National Bank of McDonough and later Woodbury Banking Company and a Teacher's Aide at Flint River Academy, she later retired as a Clerk for the U. S. Postal Service.
She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband Fred Brisendine, and second husband Bill Miller, daughter Laurie Brisendine Harrison, brothers John Gilbert, Jr., Louie Gilbert and Charles Gilbert.
She is survived by her sons John Brisendine and his wife Charlotte of LaGrange, GA, Robert Wayne Brisendine of Woodbury,GA, step-children Marlon and Joni Miller of McDonough, GA, Melanie White of Jonesboro, GA Marily and Glenn Hartley of Stockbridge, GA grandchildren Tracey Rodriguez, LaGrange, GA, Josh Brisendine of LaGrange, GA, Zackary Harrison of Thomaston, Ashley Nolin of Senoia, great-grandchildren Tim Laney, McKenzey Wisener, Hunter Wisener and , Emma Grace Ford, Tinley Rae Harrison, and River Harrison, step-grandchildren great-grandchildren along with several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mrs. Miller will be held 2:00 pm Thursday, November 11, 2021 at the Chapel of Cox Funeral Home 93 Prather-Barnes Road Manchester, GA with burial following in the Jones Chapel Cemetery in Woodbury, GA. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Salvation Army, West Georgia Hospice or one's favorite charity.
