Laura Alice Kyger Roush passed away at Ravenswood Village on Friday, May 13, 2016.

She was born on June 21, 1921, daughter of the late Mabel May Chambers and Virgil George Kyger.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Olin Roush; brothers, Oren Kyger and Ronald Kyger; and sister-in-law, Elizabeth Kyger.

She is survived by sister-in-law, Evalee Kyger of Huntington, WV; nephews, Dr. Kenneth (Gloria) Kyger, and Dr. Timothy (Dr. Billie Sue) Kyger, all of Gallipolis, Ohio, and David (Darla Kordick) Kyger, of Greensboro, NC; many cousins, great nieces and great nephews; and a very special cousin, Joan Turner, who has been Laura's guardian for a few years.

Laura served in the US Navy during World War II. She was awarded the World War II Victory Ribbon and the American Campaign Ribbon. She had been a school crossing guard in Ravenswood, and a meter maid. She attended First Baptist Church in Ravenswood where a memorial service was held on Saturday, May 21, 2016, at 2:00 pm.
