In addition to his father he was preceded in death by his grandparents, James Curtis Jones, Sr., Gladys Cooper Jones, Edgar Thomas, and Ideal Ramsey Thomas; uncles, Nelson Jones, Curtis Jones, and Eddie Lee Thomas; aunts, Rosetta Lewis and Fannie Dillon; and cousins, Alvin D. Jones and Pierre Carter.
Milton, aka "Jr.," attended Patrick Henry High School and was a member of Central Baptist Church. Jr. enjoyed being a CDL truck driver, lawn maintenance provider, but most importantly being an avid fisherman.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are: his son, Keegan Jones of North Carolina; daughter, Zynia Jones; mother, Daisy Jones; three sisters,
Melissa Bradshaw, Melinda (Robert) Sullivan, and Marsha Jones; aunts, Janet (Clarence) Brown, Gladys Curtis, Connie Jones, Tonya Saunders, and Norma Jean Preston; nephews, Jaylen Thomas and Traeveon Jones; close family and friends, Robert Sullivan, Jr., Rick Dillon, Angie Dillon, Daquan "Dee" Jones, Mark Webb, John, and "KT;" and a host of other relatives and friends. Thank you for being amazing friends to Jr.; you were all special to him.
A public viewing will be held Friday, November 12, 2021, from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 6 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Hamlar-Curtis Funeral Home & Crematory. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, November 13, 2021, at Central Baptist Church. Interment will be in Williams Memorial Park.
