Robert Leslie Zimmerman, 76, of Sarver, Pa., passed away on Wednesday, November 10, 2021 at Allegheny Valley Hospital in Natrona Heights, Pa.
He was born on Thursday, July 19, 1945 in North Apollo, Pa., the son of the late Raymond B. and Ruby M. Matthews Zimmerman.
Before his retirement, he worked for Allegheny Ludlum, Bagdad Plant. Robert was a United States Marine veteran and served during the Vietnam War. He was a very active member of the North Apollo Church of God. He had an amazing faith in God. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and watching movies. He loved taking his grandchildren to fish and hunt.
He is survived by his children, Nichole Zimmerman (Eric Boffemmyer), Heather Peiffer and 10 grandchildren, Anthony Peiffer (Kelsey), Gabriel Peiffer, Ryah Stevenson (Randy), Wylie Stevenson, Kyle Peiffer, Liam Stevenson (Lilly) and Alexander and Jonah Boffemmyer of and Haylee and Collin Schreckengost, his siblings, Ruby "Joanne" Martin, Nora Wilt, Raymond Zimmerman and his wife, Star, and Paul Zimmerman and his wife, Brenda.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Linda Moore, his brother, James Zimmerman and his son-in-law, Charles "Buddy" Peiffer.
