Phyllis graduated from Holy Rosary Academy, Class of '58 and most recently, a member of Sts. Simon and Jude. She retired from Greenebaum Doll and McDonald as the sweet friendly receptionist. Upon retirement, she spread joy as a volunteer at JCPS, Home of the Innocence and Cabbage Patch. A lover of children and crafts, she hosted crochet and art classes in her home for anyone who wanted to attend. She was also that friendly face at Thornberry Deli & Pie Shop and KC Hot Dogs. Volunteering gave her the opportunity to spend time with those she loved most, her family and friends. Phyllis' inner beauty matched her outer beauty.
Phyllis is preceded in death by her husband, David Comstock.
She is survived by her four children, Timothy Comstock (Cora), Kevin Comstock (Jeanie), Linda Comstock Hall (Buck) and Jenny Phillips Baker (Kevin); seven grandchildren, Sarah Comstock Wallace, Sam Comstock (Jaimie), Abi Comstock Ratterman (Joey), Caitlin Hall Mann (Tommy), David Hall, Jake Comstock (Kayla) and Hannah Phillips; five great-grandchildren, Shawn Comstock, Scotty Comstock, Keltie Ann Wallace, Charlie Clayton Comstock and Henry David Mann; her sister, Bonnie Albin Swann and countless lifelong friends.
Visitation will be 2 -8 p.m. Friday at Joseph E. Ratterman & Son, 7336 Southside Dr. Her funeral Mass will be Saturday 10 a.m. at Sts. Simon and Jude, 4335 Hazelwood Ave. with burial to follow in Cave Hill Cemetery.
