Funeral services for Gregory L. Jones will be held on Saturday, November 13, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. at Ricks-Bowers Funeral Home in Jewett. Bro. Allen Crosby will officiate. Interment will follow the service at Jewett Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Friday with the family present from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Jones passed away on Tuesday, November 9, 2021, at UT Health Center in Tyler.

He was born in Pasadena, Tx on May 25, 1965, but grew up in San Augustine, TX. Mr. Jones married Donna on December 29, 1992, and shared over twenty-eight years of marriage together. He was a rough neck in the oil field for many years and currently employed at T.M.S. as a mechanic. Mr. Jones enjoyed hunting and fishing and growing a vegetable garden every year. He was a Baptist by Faith.

He is survived by his wife, Donna Jones of Farrar; three brothers, Charles Jones, Amos Hanzel, and Tracy Hanzel; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Mr. Jones was preceded in death by his father, Ernest Jones and his mother, Betty Hanzel.
