Doris Denise "Nyssa" Allen, 57, passed away on Tuesday, October 31, 2021 at Swedish American Hospital. She was born on April 15, 1964 in Chicago, IL, the daughter of the late Mack Curtis and Mary Curtis. Nyssa attended Austin High School. Nyssa was united in holy matrimony to Terry Allen on July 26 of 1985. This union was blessed with 4 children and many grandchildren. Nyssa was employed at Mercy Hospital in labor delivery, she loved working with babies. She loved cooking for her family and friends. Nyssa loved getting her grandchildren together on the weekends. She enjoyed playing games on her phone and listening to music, especially on YouTube. Nyssa liked to shop and dress in style, boots, earrings and purses were her favorite. She will be remembered for her fast talking and strong presence. Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of her husband, Terry Allen, her children, D'Carlo Curtis, Terry Curtis, Alfonzo Curtis and Lawan Allen. Special daughters Latika Marshall and Jessica Martin. Sisters, Mary Ann Curtis, Carolyn Curtis, Kathy Curtis, Gloria Dean Curtis, Betty Jean Curtis. Brothers, Jeffery Curtis, James Earl Curtis and Mack Curtis Jr. A host of nieces and nephews, grandchildren and godchildren, Lakisha Goiston, Jakara, Darius Pendleton, Darrell Rogers and Porche Goisten.

Special note, Nyssa will be laid to rest next to her granddaughter, Lainey Malia Allen. She was present in the room when Malia was born, by Malia's side through her fight against cancer and now she will be with her in heaven. Funeral Service for Doris will be at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 14, 2021 in the Daley Murphy Wisch & Associates Funeral Home and Crematorium, 2355 Cranston Rd., Beloit, WI, with Elder Ernesta Chapman officiating. Burial will be in East Lawn Cemetery. Visitation of remembrance will be from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service Sunday in the funeral home.
