REV. ROY'S OBITUARY
Rev. Roy B. Burton Sr., 71, of Milford Center died Monday, November 8th, at Memorial Hospital of Union County.

A man of great faith, he was the pastor of the Victory Baptist Church in Milford Center for over 30 years and, for 10 of those years, had a radio ministry on the local radio station 1270. He was very passionate in his faith and passionate about helping others which was evident in the various business adventures he and his wife were involved with through their marriage. In recent years, being a resident of the Monarch Nursing Home, he became involved with the activities at the home and enjoyed being on Facebook preaching the gospel and praying with others.

Roy was born October 14, 1950 in Columbus and was preceded in death by his mother Bernice Conkle. He was married December 5, 1976 to Mary H. VanDale who preceded him in death August 28, 2012. He was also preceded in death by two brothers Clyde Hicks and Raymond Burton; and a grandson Keagan David Burton.

He is survived by his children Helena (Jerry) Greenawalt of Plain City, Rebecca J. Compton of Milford Center, Roy B. (Jenny) Burton Jr. of Milford Center; grandchildren, Rosalynn Cain, Kason & Adelai Burton; siblings, John (Nancy) Howard, Jim (Teresa) Conkle both of Marysville and Norma Lee Kuhn of Unionville Center.

Funeral services will be held at 11am Saturday at the Ingram Funeral Home with the Rev. Keith Castle officiating. Burial will follow at Oakdale Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10am until service time.

Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice in care of the funeral home.
