Jennifer Marie McDaniel, age 45, of Bronson, Texas passed away on Monday, November 8, 2021 in The Woodlands, Texas.

Jennifer was born in Pleasanton, Texas on June 20, 1976 to Johnny William Akers and Cathy Ann Andrews Akers.

She worked hard to obtain her degree in nursing and went on to work at Summit Nursing Home in San Augustine, Texas.Jennifer had a big heart and a feisty personality. She loved to go shopping and to hunt but most importantly she loved her family and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Her family and friends loved her cooking, especially her pasta salad and hot water cornbread.

She is survived by her husband, John McDaniel of Bronson, her daughter, Kurstee Carter and husband, Kyle of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, her sons, Dimitri Wilke and wife, Emily of Pineland, Texas and Zackary Wilke of Baytown, Texas, her mother, Cathy Akers and grandchildren, Azlynn, Luna, Everyn, Jilly, Liv and Derek.

She was preceded in death by her father, John Akers, her grandfather, Wilson Akers (18878484)and her grandmother, Francis Perez.

A visitation will be held from 5~8pm on Thursday, November 11, 2021 at Starr Funeral Home in Hemphill, Texas.

Funeral Services will begin at 2pm on Friday, November 12, 2021 at Starr Funeral Home Chapel in Hemphill, Texas with Brother Floyd Wright officiating.

Burial will follow in Chinquapin Cemetery in San Augstine County, Texas with Stetson Garrett, Michael Sowell, Steve Fuller, Red Brown and Thomas Evans serving as pallbearers.
