Ray A. Aest passed away on August 19, 2018. He was born November 20, 1933 in Tacoma, WA to Raymond G. and Beatrice Aest. He lived in Tacoma most of his childhood, graduating from Lincoln High School in 1951. He continued his education at Modesto Jr College on a golf scholarship, then graduated from College of Puget Sound in 1957 with BA in Business Admin and ROTC as 2nd Lt. He served in USAFR navigating KC-97s from March AFB until 1960. His career at The Boeing Company began in 1961 ending at retirement in 1995 as Director Asia/Pacific Contracts. He traveled the world, played golf all his life; enjoyed reading, photography, gardening, birds, fishing, spending time with his family and his cabin on Puget Sound. He, his sharp wit and intellect, is greatly missed but not forgotten. Ray is survived by brother Alan Aest; children Cathy O'Day, Ray and Chuck Aest; grandchildren Connor Irick, Cameron and Nick Aest.
