Richard L. "Dick" Alexander, Sr., age 71 of Dayton, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 7, 2021 at Hillspring of Springboro. He was born on March 29, 1950 in Hathorne, CA, the son of the late Miner & Ellen (Abbott) Alexander. Mr. Alexander honorably served his country during Vietnam in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the VFW Post #9927 in Kettering and was a former Security Supervisor for Navistar.

Preceded in death by his son Gino Alexander, 3 brothers, his twin, Robert "Bob" Alexander, Randy & Ralph Alexander. He is survived by his loving companion of 17 years Ruth Woodside, his son Richard Alexander, Jr. (Kristyn Sousa), 3 daughters Barbara King and husband Walter, Shanya Alexander, and Bobbie Joe Alexander, his aunt Marian Mann, his sister-in-law Kimberly Alexander, 10 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services at the Swart Funeral Home, West Carrollton City, OH with Pastor Wayne Woody officiating. Burial Evergreen Cemetery with Military Honors.
