Jesse Earl Jones, Jr. was born March 6, 1946 in Teague to parents Jesse Earl Jones, Sr. and Iva Iris Wills Jones. He was a lifetime Freestone County resident and a member of Cowboy Heritage Church. He married his wife Darlene on June 1, 2002. Jesse was owner and operator of C. C. Farms, a retail supplier of many food items in Fairfield as well as First Monday Trade Days in Canton, TX and the Jewett Flea Market and was known for his love of gardening. He was an avid Fairfield Eagle fan and was a fixture at early morning coffee groups at Brookshire Bros. Grocery and Capps Ag Center. He was also known for his daily calls to check on his grandchildren and great-grandchildren whom he loved very much. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Ray Jones.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife Darlene; three children, Lisa Harris and husband Jimmie of Fairfield; David Jones and wife Cheryl of Fairfield; Tracie Jones of Fairfield; two step-children, Keith Hogden and wife Sarah of Houston; Stacey Campbell and husband Rodney of Manvel, TX; fourteen grandchildren, Colby Ritchey and wife Katie, Austin Harris and wife Courtney, Blair Harris, Bailey Jones, Christopher Jones, Cade Warren, Cassidy Warren, Tori Hogden, Jennings Hogden, J. D. Hogden, Kenny Branch and Korinne Gillum and husband Henry; nine great-great grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Shirley Jones; a nephew Chuck Jones and wife Robin as well as other numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
