Loretta M. Jones passed away on Friday, November 5, 2021, at New York Presbyterian Hudson Valley Hospital in Cortlandt, NY. She was 70 years old. Daughter of the late Robert and Florence Fay Douglas, she was born on September 22, 1951, in Newburgh, NY.
Loretta graduated from Sacred Heart School in Highland Falls. After graduation, she worked as a Housekeeper for Thayer Hotel and a Bus Monitor for West Point Tours. Loretta devoted her life to being a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Her love and devotion towards her family inspired her to become a Foster Mother throughout Orange County.
Survivors include her husband Arthur Jones at home, children: John Jones and his wife, Kathy; Michael Jones; Paul Jones and his wife, Amy-Jo; Nicholas Jones; and Aaron Jones all of Highland Falls, NY; siblings: Robert Douglas and his wife Rachel, of Washingtonville, NY; Theresa Travis of Beacon, NY; and Donna Douglas of Port Jervis, NY; her beloved grandchildren: John Michael, Aaron, Bryan, Noah, Emerson, and Brynn; along with many nieces and nephews. She was Predeceased by her brothers Steven and Donald Douglas.
Cremation took place at Cedar Hill Crematory, Middle Hope, NY.
A Graveside service for the burial of cremains will begin at 10:30 a.m., Monday, November 15, 2021, at Eagle Valley Cemetery.
