Gary Wayde Renfro, age 58, of Carlisle, and formerly of Dover, PA and Westminster, MD, peacefully passed away at home on Monday, November 8, 2021. Gary was born on Tuesday, August 20, 1963, in Westminster, MD to the late Ronald Zeke Renfro and Phyllis Ann (Hollie) Renfro.

Gary's survivors include his wife of 11 years, Dedra "Dede" Lynn (King) Renfro; his two brothers: Scott Renfro and wife, Julie, of York and Steven "Steve" Renfro; his sister, Vickie Weaver of Reading; his step-son, Ryan Failor and wife, Danielle, of Newville; his step-granddaughter, Makenzee Failor of Newville; his three nieces; and his two beloved feline companions: Tigger and Midnight.

Gary graduated from Spring Grove High School as part of the class of 1981. He retired from PennEx Aluminum Company in Wellsville, after many years of service working as a metal stretcher. Gary was a former member of the Carlisle Fraternal Order of Eagles #1299. He was an avid racing fan. Gary enjoyed watching NASCAR and the Super Sportsman division at both Silver Spring and Williams Grove Speedways. He went to the BAPS Motor Speedway every Saturday night and traveled to many dirt tracks throughout Pennsylvania with Dede. When Gary was younger, he loved to roller skate. Also, he cherished the time spent hunting with his father and later would take Dede spotting for deer. Gary and Dede treasure their time together and she will surely miss his dry wit that always made her laugh.
