LEE CARNEY WALLACE, age 83, passed away peacefully and left this earth for her heavenly home on March 31, 2019. Lee was born on March 17, 1936 in Boston, Massachusetts.
She was preceded in death by her parents Thomas and Ann Carney, her husband Russell Wallace and her sister Patricia Hathaway.
After graduating from Sharon High School, Lee completed her education with honors at Quincy City Hospital School of Nursing. For close to fifty years, Lee fulfilled her childhood dream of becoming a registered nurse.
During retirement, Lee enjoyed traveling, delivering Meals on Wheels and was involved in many ministries at St. Dunstan's Episcopal Church including Altar Guild, Petal Pushers Street of Shops and mentoring programs for the youth. She enjoyed reading, traveling, playing bridge, going to the symphony and especially spending time with her family. She was a passionate sports fan and enjoyed cheering on her beloved New England Patriots and Boston Red Sox.
Lee is survived by her son Rusty Wallace and wife Estelia, daughter Cindy Wallace, daughter Patty Dorrell and husband Tom, six wonderful grandsons, two grand- daughters and her sister Lin Wilder and husband John.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be made to the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition.
