James Eugene Massey, Age-86 of Arcadia, FL passed away at his residence on September 5th 2021. James was born on January 10th 1945 in Saint Ignace, Michigan he grew up there and moved to Marshal, Michigan where he worked for the Michigan Department of Transportation as a maintenance supervisor. After retirement he moved to Arcadia, Florida and has lived here for the last 18 years. He was also a Merchant Marine for the State of Michigan automobile ferries. James enjoyed hunting, fishing and golf but most of all enjoyed spending time with his family. He will be remembered by his family and friends as a devoted son, husband, father and grandfather always wanting to fix or work around the house and his yard.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; four children, Lori and Kurt Steinman, Lisa and Gerald Utter, Michael J. Massey and James Jr. and Melanie Massey. Five siblings, Ed Massey, Carol Hulberg, John and Clayton Massey he is also survived by nine grandchildren and 8 greatgrandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents Herman and Lila Massey and brothers, Don, Raymond and Michael Massey.
