Daniel Wayne Bailey, age 75, passed away on Saturday, November 6, 2021. Daniel was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend to all. He loved farm life and spending time with his family. He is preceded in death by his parents, Earnest (Si) Bailey and Virginia Coeburn; brother, Douglas Bailey; and sister, Janice Bowling.

Survivors include his loving wife of 57 years, Shirley Louise Akers Bailey; son, Rev. David Bailey and wife, Melissa Bailey; two grandchildren, Maegan Nowlin and husband, Ricky Nowlin, and David Bailey, Jr.; two great-grandchildren, Ricky and Laken Nowlin; daughter, Rhonda Akers; 1 granddaughter, Amber Brown and husband, Akil Brown; two great-grandsons, Alan Christian and Jordan Perry; daughter, Melissa Barker and husband, Charles Barker; three grandchildren, Cody Coyle and wife, Candace Coyle, Breanna Hazelwood and husband, Brandon Hazelwood, and Levi Barker; six great-grandchildren, Jordyn Coyle, Charity Coyle, Kristy Smith, Jayden Coyle, Axle Coyle, and Brody Hazelwood. Daniel thought of Mark Akers as a brothers and Mikel Egnor as a son.

Funeral services will be conducted 10:30 AM Wednesday, November 10, 2021 at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home with Pastor David Bailey officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton where family and friends will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 9:30 AM until the time of service. Due to Covid-19, the family requests those attending to please wear a mask. Cravens-Shires Funeral Home is serving the Bailey family.
