Marty was employed as a Health and Physical Educator for 37 years in the Lenape High School District, with 12 years at Lenape High School and 25 years at Shawnee High School. He was heavily involved with the athletic programs at both schools, coaching football, baseball and softball.
Marty was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Mount Holly, NJ for 42 years, where he served as an Elder and sang in the choir. For the last several years he attended Easton Bible Church in Hainesport, NJ.
Marty is survived by his wife of 47 years, Toni (Rose Marie Potter), and their two children, son David, and daughter Catherine. He is also survived by sons Douglas (Diane) and Craig (Tricia) from a previous marriage. Marty also leaves behind his sister Lynne, nephew Brian, grandchildren Derrick, Alec, Danielle, Eric, Joelle, Toby, and Sophie, and great grandson Aidan. He is predeceased by son Eric.
Services will be held at Easton Bible Church in Hainesport on Saturday, November 13, 2021. Visitation with the family will be from 9:30-10:45 am. A memorial service will follow at 11:00 am. Interment will be private.
