William C. Fields (W.C.), 77, of Charlottesville, Virginia, went to be with his Lord and Savior on November 7, 2021.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 53 years, Betty Fields and his loving daughter, Mary Fields, both of Charlottesville; his siblings, Charles Fields (Jackie), Peggy Davis, and Jimmy Fields (Helen). He is also survived by a special aunt, Virginia McCourry, along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.

After retirement, he worked for several local businesses in the Charlottesville area. He was a member of Cherry Avenue Christian Church which he attended faithfully until his health failed.
W.C. also loved to spend his time fishing, hunting and playing golf.

The family offers sincere appreciation to Dr. Bobby Stokes, his wife, Sue, and his staff; Dr. Mark Prichard and the staff at Martha Jefferson Infusion Center; the staff of Hospice of the Piedmont, Peggy Davis, Margaret Gibson, Jeff Harris and Linda Harris.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Cherry Avenue Christian Church, 1720 Cherry Avenue, Charlottesville, VA 22903, or to the American Cancer Society at P.O. Box 22478, Oklahoma City, OK 73123.
