Graveside services for Wendy Pierce will be held on Saturday, November 13, 2021 at 11 a.m. at Greenwood Cemetery in Teague. Bro. David West will officiate.

Visitation will be held on Friday, November 12, 2021 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Bowers Funeral Home in Teague.

Ms. Pierce passed away on Sunday, November 7, 2021 at Freestone Medical Center.

Wendy was born in Michigan City, Indiana to parents, John Edwards and Bernice Hall. She grew up in Long Beach, California and moved to Teague in 1995. Wendy was the manager of Dairy Queen in Mexia and Teague for many years. She loved all her kids; she would do anything for anyone and loved to help others. Wendy was famous for making candy bouquets for every occasion.

She is survived by her niece, Amey Pierce of Teague; her nephew, Dakota Pierce of Teague; her step-daughter, Ashley Lopez & husband Martin of Teague; her step-son, Michael Edwards of Judsonia, AR; companion and soulmate, James Waters; sixteen grandchildren; nephews, Jeremiah Itchue and Steven Mattingly; her sister-in-laws, Brittnay Pierce; Shannon Claunch; and adopted nephew, Jonathan Ridenour & wife Brianna.

Wendy was preceded in death by her parents, Bernice Pierce & husband Robert; her sister, Georgia Pierce; her brother, Vernon Pierce; her daughter, Cynthia Edwards; and her son, Robert Edwards.
